What Is Best Odds Guaranteed?

If you place a bet on horse racing, and the bookmaker is offering Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG), you will be guaranteed to get the best-price about your selection, whether that's the price you took when placing the bet, or the Starting-Price (SP) if that is bigger than the price you took.

For example, if you place a £10 win-bet on a horse at 10/1 (BOG), you will win £100 regardless of whether the SP is lower than the price you took. However, if you place a £10 win-bet on a horse at 10/1 (BOG) that is returned with an SP of 12/1, your bet will be settled at 12/1 - so you'll win £120.

Terms And Conditions

As with all gambling promotions, it is always wise to check the terms and conditions to avoid disappointment. Bookmakers terms and conditions, regarding BOG, may vary in regard to the amount you can stake or win. Some bookmakers also choose to offer Best odds Guaranteed on all UK and Irish horse racing, whilst others may limit their offer to specific races on each day. Meanwhile, some bookmakers offer Best Odds Guaranteed from the moment a post final-declarations market for a horse race opens, whilst some will only honour the promotion on bets placed on the day of the race.

Best Odds Guaranteed Ante-Post

Some bookmakers even offer Best Odds Guaranteed on some Ante-Post markets, usually only on the very biggest races like the Grand National though – just look for the BOG!
