Harvey is a horse racing writer with vast experience within the publishing industry. He’s worked as a specialist horse racing writer, blogger and tipster for several leading bookmakers.
Harvey has been a regular contributor for Coral, 888Sport and BetVictor and was the author of the Cheltenham Festival and Aintree Grand National blog on Paddy Power for three years.
On Grand National day in 2015 his selections won the first four races on the card. His recommended Grand National ante-post tips in the last three seasons were The Last Samuri (2nd), One For Arthur (1st) and Tiger Roll (1st).
Harvey’s Paddy Power blog at the Cheltenham Festival in 2014 included a 100,000-1 ante-post four timer. He tipped Faugheen, O’Faolains Boy, Whisper and Sire De Grugy at prices ranging from 6-1 to 25-1. He also tipped five out of six winners at Doncaster and eleven consecutive winning nap selections. Harvey’s published blogs also include The Melbourne Cup for which he correctly forecast the first and second in 2016 when Almandin beat Heartbreak City.
Harvey has also worked on numerous sports betting sites, providing historical articles, in-depth analysis, news and reviews. Racing is his passion but he has also turned his betting knowledge to other sports, including golf, tennis and football. He has proved particularly adept at picking winners at golf, including a remarkable tournament hat-trick over one weekend in 2016. He tipped Alex Noren (18-1) in the British Masters, Brendan Steele (50-1) in the PGA Safeway Open and Carlota Ciganda (100-1) in the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. The odds against the treble were 97.869-1.
Harvey is also an accomplished artist and has sold work internationally. Much of his work has an equestrian theme, including a series of paintings of the Aga Khan’s Derby winners and full size horse sculptures made in driftwood. His favourite racehorses are Shergar and Desert Orchid, both of which he has depicted on canvas on several occasions. We are delighted to welcome Harvey to our team at The Tipster League where he will share his wisdom on all aspects of horse racing and betting.
